Every Indian woman who aspires to become an entrepreneur has Nykaa as their inspiration source. Falguni Nayyar and Adwaita Nayyar built Nykaa from scratch with a handful of employees.
Nykaa is the first unicorn managed by a woman and one of the very few profitable new-age businesses that have generated a lot of investor attention. Nykaa was valued at $14 billion in 2021, and it only seems to be increasing.
In this conversational session, we have Ms. Advaita Nayyar who speaks about her journey from being a consultant to joining her mother’s venture Nykaa and witnessing its highs and lows. She clearly sets an example of being a woman of substance, with her business acumen. Learn from her experience of building Nykaa’s brand positioning and the various challenges that they had to tackle.
Adwaita Nayar is an entrepreneur and CEO of Nykaa Fashion Brand. She had an incredible opportunity, as a co-founder, to see the firm from its conception till it became a name that we all know and love.
She spent her first years juggling the challenges of fundraising, marketing, providing excellent customer service, and expanding the actual retail space from 5 to 35. She laid the groundwork for the methods and technologies that are still in use today by being in charge of the eCommerce company's operations, technology, and marketing.
She successfully constructed a platform that is built on the pillars of discovery and convenience when she launched Nykaa Fashion in 2018, a curation-driven lifestyle destination, to fill gaps in the options accessible to consumers.
